Stonelees isn't the only golf centre with 27 holes of well-manicured golf.  However, it is rare for a 27-hole facility to have three distinctly different golf courses, with each one built specifically for a certain level of golfer.

  • Beginners and juniors enjoy the Par 3 course.

  • Intermediate or "average" golfers enjoy the Executive Course which has seven par-3s and two par-4s.

  • Low-handicap golfers will enjoy the Heights Course, a full-length nine holes with two superb par-5s.

Have you been skiing? Have you noticed how most ski resorts grade their runs based on a recognised colour code? There are runs for beginners, runs for intermediates, and runs for experts.

As a novice skier, you begin on the beginner slopes then, as you improve and want more challenge, move up to the intermediate slopes then ultimately the expert runs if you are up for it.

Stonelees presents the same opportunity. Start on the Par 3 course, move up to the Executive Course, then test yourself on the Heights Course. At a ski resort, in order to improve, you'll need to take some instruction. At Stonelees, you can improve your game at our range and short game area and you can also take expert instruction. So, whether you're an improving golfer, a total beginner, or a county-level player, there's plenty to enjoy at Stonelees.

Play at Stonelees Even After Inclement Weather

After prolonged periods of rain, many courses are unplayable for...prolonged periods! Opened in 1994, Stonelees has modern drainage and even after a deluge, the courses are very soon playable.  All the greens at Stonelees are fully irrigated which means that they tend to hold golf balls better, thus making the golf all the more enjoyable. Although, in the summer, the greens can develop a bit of speed, making the golf all the more exciting!
