Even the very best golfers in the world take lessons and if you really want to improve, regular lessons from a PGA Professional are a must. At Stonelees Golf Centre, we take improvement very seriously. 
We have a separate teaching bay for privacy and also use of the simulator, a great teaching bonus particularly on cold winter evenings. We have two teaching professionals, David Bonthron, the Head Professional, and Mark Belsham (Joe Jezzard is now teaching in Mark's place while he is on tour). Lesson costs are very reasonable, at only £20 for half an hour (£10 for 16 and under), or the professionals offer a course of 6 lessons for £100 (£50 for juniors). Mark offers video lessons, as well as on course lessons.

David Bonthron
Born and raised at St. Andrews, David has been teaching for over 40 years. Turning professional at 18 years old, he has taught both in the USA and Europe. Until recently David played on the Senior Tour. He competed in major European competitions and the British Open on several occasions. He led the British Open at one point and is a former Kent Champion.
Mark Belsham
Mark has been teaching for 15 years and has taken his skills to many countries including Denmark, France, and Dubai. He has competed on the Challenge Tour, the European Tour and won the British Mastercard Tour School. He has also won several other events including the Kent Open, the Kent PGA Cyprus Pro Am, the Kent Matchplay, the Jaguar Pro Am in Dubai, more recently the Manx Golf Classic, and numerous PGA Pro-Ams. He is affectionately known as 'the links guru'.

Joe Jezzard
Joe joined Jude Read at Walmer and Kingsdown in September 2009 after working for Andrew Reynolds at the Royal Cinque Ports Golf Club, were he worked from April 2005.
Joe then took on this teaching position at Stonelees in April 2010 to cover for Mark Belsham whilst he is away playing on the Seniors European Tour. During his time at Royal Cinque Ports he studied a degree in Golf Management through the PGA and in July 2009 became a fully qualified PGA Professional.
Since moving to Walmer & Kingsdown Joe has had time to work hard on his own golf, which helped him to win professional events at Royal St. George's last October and the PGA South Region Winter Series at Walmer and Kingsdown in February.
Joe can offer you many services as a qualified PGA golf professional, he has been educated in all of the important areas of golf so that he can teach you correct swing techniques, custom fit and build your golf clubs to your physical size and swing characteristics, or repair your existing golf clubs.
